That depends on which trackers you use, but you can expect a 500 MB FLAC file to take about 3 minutes and a 4.7 GB DVD about 25 minutes to download when using a good tracker with seedbox.me.
Your subscription at seedbox.me is not automatic. We send a renewal request a few days before your first month is due to finish. You decide if you want to renew or not. If you don't respond the seedbox will be deleted after a few days.

If you get a connection error or timeout on your browser when trying to access your seedbox give it a few minutes before contacting support. More often than not the scripts will fix any problems but if you can't get access after 5 minutes please open a new support ticket and we'll take a look asap.
This can sometimes happen if you try and open too many http connections to the seedbox.
Maybe you have all your transfers open in separate windows on auto refresh or maybe you are downloading a couple of files via http and trying to browse the seedbox.
If the problem persists close all non essential seedbox windows and wait a couple of minutes for your connections to timeout. This should allow you to connect again.
If the problem is intermittent then check the seedbox load and if it's above 4.0 for more than 30 minutes or so please contact support who will take a look at the server.
This can sometimes happen if another user has already uploaded a .torrent file with the same name. Simply rename the .torrent file to something else before uploading to the seedbox. For example: dancemusic.torrent already exists, just rename to dancemusicME.torrent, easy!
Check the torrent details. Click on the torrent name in the main transfer window to bring up the control window. If you see lots of open ports this usually signifies a hash fail when starting the torrent. You need to go back to the main transfer window and put a tick alongside this torrent then go to the bottom of the transfer window and select "Delete" from the drop down menu, then hit the "Go" button. Now try uploading the torrent again. If it sticks on starting a second time contact support.
First you need to get these files to the seedbox. The best way is to use FTP to upload the folder with the files from your PC to the seedbox.
More about FTP at seedbox.me
You then log onto the seedbox and go to your Directory List to see the new folder. Alongside each folder are a group of icons including the "Make Torrent" icon. Click this and enter the tracker details. Once you've created the torrent file it will automatically start seeding in your transfer window but you still need to upload this torrent file to the tracker before it will connect.
Please make sure you have passive mode enabled and the number of simultaneous downloads is set to 5 in your FTP client.
Check our FTP Guide for more about FTP background and simultaneous transfers.
Once you have the client set up correctly you can expect up to 1000kbps via FTP.
If the problem isn't related to these settings then please run a tracert from your PC to the seedbox IP and raise a support ticket posting the tracert results along with the UTC time the scan was ran. This will assist us to assist you better.
First, check it isn't stuck on Starting. (see above) Other answers can be found by checking the torrents log. You can check the log by clicking the torrent name in the transfer window to bring up the control window. Now click the log link along the top of this window. Scroll to the bottom of the log to see what the problem might be. If there's something you're not sure about open a new support ticket and paste the log so we can respond faster.
First check to see what the seeding ratio is. Has it hit 500%? This is the default seeding ratio but you can seed more by using a higher seeding profile (see Transfer Profiles below) or by using Reset Totals if your client is Tornado. To reset totals, place a tick alongside this torrent in the main transfer window then select "Reset Totals" from the drop down menu at the bottom of the transfer window then hit the "Go" button. You can now start this torrent for another bout of seeding.
If it's stopped before 500% then please check the "Why is my torrent not downloading or uploading any data?" question above.
You can also change the transfer profile to increase the percent to seed back, more on this below.
If you've just signed up and your seedbox password isn't working please make sure you read the activation email thoroughly because your seedbox password is NOT the same as the password you signed up with.
A temporary seedbox password is sent in the activation email.
If you didn't get an activation email please check the JUNK or SPAM folder of the email provider you signed up with.
If you've logged on the seedbox before and changed the password only to be locked out then this is probably a cookie issue. Simply delete the seedbox cookie and log in again.

UPDATE: We've updated the html code so the cookie issue shouldn't happen now.
Try your username in lowercase in the FTP client. So if your username is "UserName", try "username".
If you still have problems please contact support.
Please raise a support ticket requesting which package you require. We will send an invoice based on your remaining billing period. If you've received a renewal notice and would like to upgrade or downgrade please raise a support ticket and we'll send another renewal notice.
To use this feature first stop an existing torrent or upload a new torrent but don't start it.
Now click the "advanced" start" icon in the transfer window alongside this torrent. This is the green icon with only one white arrow, to the right of the torrent name.
The control window should open up.
Now click the "Control" link along the top. You should now see a new drop down menu called "Profile" with different options for selecting the seeding back percent.
Just select one of the options then hit the "Run Transfer" button lower down to start the torrent.
A high seeding profile won't seed as fast but will seed a lot longer than the default profile. Download speeds are not affected.
Your torrent will now seed back to the percentage you selected.
You can use the free proxy so your login IP on the tracker matches the IP from where you want to seed or leech. Some trackers won't announce any peers if the login and seed/leech IP's dont match while other trackers will let you connect but won't update any stats.
Each tracker is different so you need to check their rules and FAQ sections to see if you need to use this feature.
Only a very few trackers require this and almost all trackers will work fine without ever needing to use the proxy.
You will often see bandwidth and transfer speed quoted in two different units: kilobits or megabits per second, abbreviated kbps/Kb/s or mbps/Mb/s, and kilobytes or megabytes per second, abbreviated KB/s or MB/s.
Notice the "b" and "B".
They are 2 different measurements.
The difference between the two units is the number of bits in a byte, which is 8. The small 'b' stands for bits, and the big 'B' stands for bytes.
Transfer speeds on the seedbox are shown in KB/s.
So, for instance, if the seedbox shows you a download speed of 2200 KB/s, it is the same as 17700 Kb/s or 17.60 Mbps.
